I've had a countdown on my phone for the days until Alex left for his mission. Today IS that day. So excited for him. Bret and I are both more excited than sad. We have been talking about this for his whole life. We have been looking forward to this time and preparing him. Now it is time to have faith in the Lord that he will take care of him, protect him, and guide him as he serves the people of the Boston Massachusetts area for the next two years. Elder Berthelson has a quick flight today to Salt Lake City. Aunt Mary gets to pick him up and spoil him tonight. He will be dropped off tomorrow- Wednesday - at his appointed time of 12:30. No more phone calls, no more texts, no more facetime. Time to let him go. I'm ready! We're ready. He is definitely ready!
